Gas Supply Manager jobs in Tennessee
Gas Supply Manager manages the supply and purchase of natural gas to meet company needs. Negotiates contracts with approved sources to maintain adequate supply and ensure favorable terms. Being a Gas Supply Manager forecasts change in prices in order to maintain company fuel investments. Coordinates proper transportation and storage of gas supplies. Additionally, Gas Supply Manager maintains business relationships with suppliers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Gas Supply Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Gas Supply Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. What will you do?
- Responsible for delivering superior customer experience by providing operational support to critical recovery efforts across multiple plants
- Leverage and analyze planning data and metrics to proactively identify and mitigate risk in the planning or execution that could impact customers service and satisfaction
- Develop regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as well as ad hoc analysis and reports consolidating data from Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain to track performance, risk and opportunities using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats such as tables, diagrams, charts, etc.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Proven ability to work in a team environment between the functions of Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to digest complex data and information into a simplified view to support the decision-making process
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
