Job Description:

Swift Straw is looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team in Jasper, FL.  This person will have a great attitude and a passion for ensuring our manufacturing floor is running and each line is able to operator at max capacity.  This is an hourly position with a upside potential to learn other parts of the business.   Ability to learn and grow starts with this position.

As a Forklift Operator Associate, you will be expected to drive a forklift everyday and load a line with product multiple times an hour.  Ability to sit and stand throughout the shift is mandatory.  This position can make or break our operations so dependability, good attendance and showing up to work on time are extremely important in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Drive forklift daily
• Understand basic safety and company safety policies in regards to forklift operation
• Work with leadership on needs for the day/shift
• Basic understanding of machine operation.
• Understand safety procedures and protocols in the facility and follow them without exception daily.

• Associate must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
• This role will require you to be constantly on the move for an 8-10-hour shift.
• Cleaning high and low spaces in a distribution center or warehouse environment

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or recipient of GED
• Experience working around heavy machinery and moving equipment
• Forklift experience is required
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in time sensitive situations.
• Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Ability to work Overtime when posted and needed
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
