Food Services Director - Nursing Home jobs in Kansas
Food Services Director - Nursing Home directs and oversees food service for patients, employees, and visitors in a nursing home environment. Develops, manages, and maintains food service policies and procedures in accordance with administrative directives and professional standards. Being a Food Services Director - Nursing Home reviews menus and supervises the handling, preparation, and storage of food. Oversees equipment maintenance, record keeping and all sanitation activities. Additionally, Food Services Director - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. - Certification as a Dietary Manager, Food Service Management Degree (or currently be enrolled in a CDM program) that meets state and federal care regulations
- At least two years of progressive and relevant experience
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling required
- Current Safe Food Handler certificate a plus
- Basic math skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
