WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role as Folder Operator will be responsible for the following functions; prepares, operates, and maintains custom cut, stack and fold machine. Ensuring the quality of the final printed piece. The Folder Operator is required to manage and oversee the operation of the machine under the supervision of the Operations Manager to ensure quality in the results, the functioning of the machine, and other quality assurance checks.

- Meeting the department production and quality goals.

- Reviews all information regarding specifications on work orders, layouts and job tickets; checks proof to match job for content and accuracy.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Set up and adjust folding machines for different types of folds
- Inspect folded materials for defects and make adjustments as needed
- Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machinery as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the folding machines
- Produce Quality work and maintain accuracy levels adhering to all Quality Control Procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Operations Manager and other team members, informing and updating them to guarantee that jobs are completed on time and all shifts are prepared to run smoothly.
- Maintain a 100% accuracy level by following Company procedures.
- Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Train new employees, providing direction both during production and down time (as necessary)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-4 years of dedicated experience in print manufacturing specific to the setup and operation of folding/bindery REQUIRED
- Customer and quality focused, ability to work well in a team setting.
- High Energy, Trustworthy, Detail Oriented & Organized
- Ability to travel and work overtime (as necessary)
