Fleet Administrator jobs in California
Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Highlights Of What Our Construction Fleet Administrator Will Do- Provides administrative support to the fleet manager of the organization
- Performs confidential clerical functions for the fleet manager and the yard
- Ensure customers, vendors, and employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner
- Assists with DMV vehicle registrations, licensing, and regulations
- Assists with the administration of the fuel tracking system and reports of employee usage
- Oversees operations of rental equipment including allocation to jobs for daily costing
- Assist with equipment rentals and managing shop inventory
- Process purchase orders for shop supplies/inventory and equipment rentals
- Supports in other areas as required and assists with special projects as necessary
Are you the right fit for this role? Skills & experience that are necessary as a Construction Fleet Administrator will include, but not limited to:- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not a requirement
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Knowledge of basic formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables)
- Knowledge and experience with Sage/Timberline, Paperless, and/or Fleetio is a plus
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment with the ability to manage competing demands or unexpected events in a very fast-paced environment
- $23-$25/Hour
