Financial Systems Analyst jobs in Texas
Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities:- Work cross-functionally and develop strong relationships with colleagues at the plant level to gather information vital to the successful completion of deliverables.
- Employ strong analytical skills to manipulate large, unstructured datasets to support ad hoc analysis and various presentations.
- Ensure all financial activity at the plant level contains accurate information and is executed timely by monitoring, maintaining and completing key financial functions.
- Communicate with subject matter experts across the company to better understand the risk of certain projects and/or investments.
- Communicate with other departments to gather information about businesses and transactions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop financial forecasts to align with the plants operational requirements and regulatory objectives.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and execute deliverables in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Possess a strong desire and willingness to support the team and plant beyond core responsibilities.
- Work on cross-functional teams to improve processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to excel in a hybrid work environment that combines in office and remote work settings.
- Minimum education and experience required for the position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, a relevant field, and 2 years of business experience in banking, finance, or project development is required or in lieu of a degree 6 years of business experience in banking, finance, or project development is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, a relevant field, and 4 years of business experience in banking, finance, or project development is required or in lieu of a degree 8 years of business experience in banking, finance, or project development is required.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge and experience in working with Financial Reporting Software.
- Experience using Power Bi or similar visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment.
- Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
- Knowledge of financial theory and valuation.
- Ability to understand and solve complex financial transactions.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive projects effectively.
