Financial Systems Analyst jobs in New Mexico
Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Additionally, another portion will be utilized by collaborating with our technical teams in cost proposal and ROM creation and monitoring.

What You’ll Do As a Financial Analyst- Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and process improvements in support of flawless supplier execution for programs.
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports using actual cost information for program utilization.
- Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of assigned programs.
- Works directly with internal/external stakeholders in regard to program status, addressing of needs, and resolution of issues.
- Assists in the preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
- Tracks and monitors labor, material, overhead, and other costs related to programs.
- Identifies and monitor financial risks and develops risk mitigation strategies.
- Participates in program management reviews, management progress reports, and presentations.
- Strong analytical proficiency in finance and program cost tracking
- Skilled at organizing and translating financial information into clear written documentation; articulating complex budgets and expenditures
- Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written language communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SharePoint, MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Bachelors’ degree and a minimum of 4 years of finance and/or accounting experience and 2 years of project management experience.
