Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. In this role, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst will work with the credit, marketing, decision science and operations teams. This role will deliver deep analytical insights on business performance to monitor and maintain the strong performance of BlueChip's existing consumer loan portfolio, as well as grow new business. BlueChip will rely on you to drive future testing, learning, and enhancements in order to expand and optimize its lending business.
The Business Analysis (BA) team is the true hub of BlueChip's decision-making wheel. BlueChip's executive team heavily leans on analysts to guide significant business decisions, and as a result, our BA team has repeated opportunities to drive real, robust results through its analytical strengths.
In this role, you will...- Work closely with a team of data scientists to leverage machine learning models to drive business performance
- Apply statistical techniques to solve problems in a systematic, structured manner
- Drive analytical projects to optimize financial product design and credit policy
- Drive strategic insights to deliver business value to BlueChip
- Coordinate with data and marketing vendors to achieve specific business objectives
- Coordinate across functions of the business to create maximum value for BlueChip's customers and stakeholders
- Analyze and identify opportunities to further the execution of our disciplined growth strategy that balances short-term vs. long-term profitability and appropriately mitigates credit risk
- Develop reporting to monitor and validate predictive model performance and various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) over time
Mandatory Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative field
- At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Elite quantitative analytical skill
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience with R and/or Python programming languages for data analysis
- Masters or PhD degree in a quantitative field
- 3 years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving
- 3 years of experience in business analysis
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments
- Experience with advanced mathematical/statistical techniques
- Experience with using and implementing models
BCF is headquartered in Belcourt, North Dakota, with offices in Minneapolis, San Diego, and Atlanta. This position can be located at any of these offices. BCF expects a hybrid work environment with a two day office policy. Travel should be relatively limited, around 10-15% per month when needed.
