Financial Systems Analyst jobs in Idaho
Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The US HP.com Category Team is looking for an experienced professional to take the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Lead for the US HP.com Store. This role supports the P&L management for the business and is responsible for financial related planning activities including financial & operational forecasting, sales quotas analysis & negotiation, business analysis & strategic decision support, and cost optimizations. The individual in this role interacts directly with US HP Store Category Managers and Director, and will support executive business reviews by creating relevant content and narratives to communicate business performance insights, challenges, and opportunities. A key component of this role will not only be to analyze data but also communicate frequently with the management team.
Responsibilities- Develops and manages weekly, quarterly, and yearly financial forecast & operational targets.
- Develops/maintains business models, analysis, and reports to support business decisions.
- Analyses business trends/KPIs to develop content & narratives for Executive Level reviews.
- Runs business performance analysis to influence sales Quota decisions.
- Manage end-to-end P&L analysis and optimization to maximize business growth.
- Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Partners with business leaders to develop plans and proactively identify new opportunities.
- Focal point to interact with Finance team across any financial related topics.
- 5 years total experience in business planning, operations, finance, or related areas.
- Advanced university degree (e.g. MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience preferable.
- Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of eCommerce business fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
- Solid finance concepts knowledge and proven experience with finance related functions.
- Expertise in using advanced Excel functions, ability to develop and maintain financial models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in storytelling.
- Experience in communicating to various management levels, including Director.
- Experience in creating PowerPoint presentations & narratives for executive consumption.
- Strategic mindset and experience forecasting business financial trends.
- Strong relationship and teamwork skills, including partnering and consulting.
