Role & Responsibilities

SCS is looking to hire a full-time senior associate to join its finance team. As a finance team member you will work directly with the Controller & VP FP&A on a day to day basis to support all aspects of finance function, and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Financial Operations

• Play a key role in quarterly client billing process
• Maintain payroll system and perform semi-monthly compensation & benefits reconciliation
• Ensure timely payment to vendors and reimbursement of employees’ expenses
• Assist with other internal and external financial reporting and regulatory requirements

Accounting

• Record monthly operating activity to accounting system; assist in providing commentary of key drivers on a monthly and quarterly basis

FP&A

• Support maintenance and monthly refresh of financial forecast models and annual budgeting process.
• Assist with development of management reporting and dashboards with key financial metrics.
• Help with ad hoc special analytical projects for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and 3 years experience working in a accounting, finance or related field (preferably in financial services industry, fund management or public accounting)
• Ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate cross functionally
• General understanding of core accounting principles and concepts
• Experience using accounting software or ERP system and developing reports to review financial details
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data across various other systems & formats
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet key deadlines
