Job Description

Libra Solutions is seeking a talented and ambitious person to work as a FP&A Associate, reporting directly to the Director of Finance and will also have frequent interaction with the company’s CFO and executive management team. The FP&A Associate position offers great experience and exposure to all aspects of growing a private equity backed company (Parthenon and Waterfall are the two sponsors). This position will gain a deep understanding of a complex capital markets structure and help guide the company’s liquidity positioning. This position will be based out of our Las Vegas or Rosemont, IL market with candidates working on a hybrid basis (2 days/week in the office). Qualified West-coast based candidates in California, Arizona and Utah may also be considered with periodic travel for training and some meetings.

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver financial analysis to executive leadership teams to drive strategic direction of the company
• Develop metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels.
• Build clear, accurate and reliable predictive forecast modeling for multiple functional areas
• Manage annual planning and budgeting process Company-wide (3 businesses currently in the portfolio)
• Build strong financial models for the business, utilizing understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information
• Review historical data, predict future results, analyze, and explain budget variances
• Review analysis results, develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and lead strategic business decisions
• Review operations for cost-savings opportunities and work cross-functionally to incorporate these initiatives
• Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions
• Coordinate, prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts and prepare reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results, including additional ad-hoc analysis on results
• Establish budget and operating benchmarks, to assist in preparation of monthly / annual forecasts
• Perform quantitative analysis required including M&A projects
• Assists with corporate development initiatives
• Develop Monthly and Quarterly Board presentations
  
  

Required Skills and Experience

• 1- 3 years of financial modeling experience: Investment Banking, Private Equity, Valuation, Corporate Strategy or FP&A experience highly desirable
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting preferred)
• Must be able to work on a hybrid basis with 2 in-office days weekly.
• Solid Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and verbal communication skills
• Strong financial modeling skill set and ability to navigate complex data sets
• Proactive mindset with the ability to deliver strategic insights beyond just the numbers
• Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement - personally and professionally
• Team player and partnership focused individual
• Solid Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and verbal communication skills
