Major Responsibilities/Duties:
· Prepare, run, monitor, and control all machines and associated equipment in response to die, grade or color change requirements involving: Breakdown and assembly of extruder. Dies setting and adjusting, and machine startup. Basic troubleshooting to maintain correct process running conditions and in specification production
· Operation of manual and computer-controlled production process equipment, moving and handling of raw, intermediate, and finished goods, and transaction recording of movement into an ERP system.
Qualifications include:
· High School diploma or equivalent with emphasis in basic arithmetic and pc proficiency
· One-year machine operation in a manufacturing environment ideal. Extrusion or plastics machine operation experience is a real plus!
· Forklift experience
· Must have strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Able to respond as directed to change process conditions and equipment settings to minimize production of non-conforming product and loss of material.
· Able to follow instructions to implement changes in process conditions or equipment settings need to influence product properties.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Capable of lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds
· Must be safety-minded and team-oriented
· Must maintain dependable, regular attendance and provide flexibility as business needs change.
Shift Patterns: 6-6:30 am & pm. Alternating 36-hour or 48-hour weeks with alternating weekends.
