POSITION: Sales Project Manager (SPM)

SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting revenue growth by working with Sales Directors on sales opportunities and providing sales support activities. Responsible for gathering client requirements and ensuring project success from inception to completion, including communication between the client and internal teams throughout the entire project life cycle. The role interacts with sales, design, production, logistics procurement, and all levels of management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate with Sales Team in client meetings and calls to gather critical information regarding client opportunities and keep opportunities / projects moving forward
- Collect, document and confirm information regarding client opportunities including all necessary project details and specifications
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, engaging with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility
- Coordinate and collaborate with Design, Engineering and Project Management teams to establish project timelines and production schedules to meet customer delivery needs
- Create and confirm Scope of Work for each project and ensure document is sent to client for review and approval; secure customer approval to begin production
- Timely and clearly communicate project changes to appropriate teams relating to Scope of Work to be performed (i.e. production quantities, specifications, delivery dates, delivery locations, etc.)
- Expeditiously communicate price adjustments, surcharges, project delays or changes to Sales Directors, and/or customers, when additional activities or work is needed outside the original Scope of Work
- Communicate with clients regularly and frequently regarding outstanding action items, feedback, approvals, etc. as well as provide clients with project status updates
- Coordinate and lead staff meetings to review open projects and current production status as well as identify and discuss action items, potential constraints or issues
- Assure that all applicable internal business processes and procedures are followed to keep projects on track and meet established timelines and deadlines
- Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate potential solutions, and make recommendations to resolve problem
- Ensure that project changes are communicated to appropriate parties and that any necessary reviews and approvals have been received; ensure production schedules and timelines have been adjusted accordingly
- Ensure that Production Project Management Team receives all pertinent client driven project changes or updates in a timely manner
- Develop timelines and action calendars using Project Management software application(s) to ensure efficient and effective project management
- Ensure accounting is notified when outbound shipping has begun so that client invoicing can be initiated
- Contact clients and follow up regularly regarding outstanding account balances to ensure adherence to agreed upon or contracted payment terms
- Maintain high ethical standards; model and support organizational goals and values
- Must maintain confidentiality of Company and client information
- Lead by example and be accessible for employees to ask questions regarding areas of expertise
- Collaborate with all levels of employees to resolve problems and improve processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Chief Operating Officer or other executive management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 or more years experience in sales/customer service and project management capacity
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills; detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Team oriented and collaborative; strong internal customer service skills
- Strong leadership skills; Servant leadership style; Inspires respect and trust
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn / utilize project management and/or business management software applications such as Monday.com
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the printing, packaging or contract packaging (Co-pack) industries
- Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to direct, coach and train others
- Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
Language Skill Sets
