ACE is adding a analytical and detail oriented Preconstruction Engineer to lead the charge on setting our projects up for success.
Working from our main office in Marriottsville, you will support the preconstruction manager preparing preliminary project documents, assisting with preconstruction activities, and contributing valuable insights for successful project turnover. This role requires a strong understanding of the construction life cycle, budgeting, and procurement management.
This position requires great initiative, team work, communication and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to build strong relationships, takes a proactive approach to learning and problem solving and pays attention to detail. They can collaborate effectively and thrive in group settings. This person is self-motivated, dependable and is looking to grow their career within a company who is dedicated to improving the communities they serve.
On any given day, you'll be collaborating with a team of construction professionals to prepare comprehensive project documents and analyze project documents to optimize cost and value engineer solutions. You'll need to effectively communicate with a number of stakeholders to ensure proper purchasing and scheduling activities are completed. You'll also have opportunity to collaborate on special projects to further develop the preconstruction department and the systems it employs.
