Trust Administrator

Job Function:  Administer an existing portfolio of trust, investment management, IRA and other related accounts in conformity with current laws, regulations and policies.  Establish and maintain effective communication and relationship management with clients and their advisors to effectuate the account’s objectives. Collaborate with our internal partners to coordinate all aspects related to investment and financial planning matters as a cohesive team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Communicate regularly with clients in conjunction with portfolio manager and other team members to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
• Meet compliance, account administration and customer service requirements of accounts in light of current laws, regulations, policies, procedures and the governing agreement.
• Work with assigned client associate in delegating needed tasks.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of financial, estate and income tax planning concepts.
• Analyze and administer account relationships with more complex legal and/or unique asset responsibilities.
• Assist in development of new business and additional business from existing clients.
• Develop cross-sell opportunities from trust client base for other areas of the Bank and subsidiaries of the Bank.
• Articulate general knowledge and communication of investment guidelines and practices.
• Attend all regular department and bank meetings and participate in assigned groups and/or committees as assigned.
• Attend work regularly and consistently to ensure appropriate client needs and deadlines are met.
• Other tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor or other member of management.

Job Qualifications/ Required Skills and Abilities:   

• Undergraduate degree required
• Prefer law degree, MBA or other graduate degree
• CTFA or CFP required if no graduate degree
• Prefer 10 years of experience in working with financial and estate planning concepts
• Prefer 5 years of experience in client service role
• Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to do so effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
• Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and a good business acumen
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
• Consistently follows through on all tasks needed without prompts and uses time management skills to prioritize accordingly
• Excellent organizational skills in all aspects of the role
• Ability to problem solve with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of Trust Desk and/or SalesForce are preferred
• Must possess a can-do customer-service attitude/philosophy
