Employee Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. Additionally, Employee Health Services Manager may provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Required Education for Staff Job Levels | Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BS degree in nursing and/or certification in Occupational Health or Infection Control. |
Required Minimum Experience | Minimum of two years satisfactory experience as a staff nurse and a minimum of one year administrative or supervisory experience. |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Knowledge or job experience or both in epidemiologic principles and infectious disease, vaccine preventable diseases, adult education principles, and patient care practices. Basic Life Support certification and re-certification is required due to vaccination administration. Accountable for own conduct. Relates will with co-workers, other staff, medical staff, and visitors. Maintains confidentiality. |
