The Fertilizer Mixer is responsible to ensure all mixing functions of the fertilizer plant are running smoothly and efficiently. The Fertilizer Mixer is responsible for mixing and blending fertilizer, coordinating drivers and trucks, dispatching and processing product loads, and maintenance of the fertilizer plant. The Fertilizer Mixer is also accountable for monitoring and reporting fertilizer inventories. The Fertilizer Mixer will additionally be a resource for other employees to go to for direction within the site. The Fertilizer Mixer is responsible for compliance with Department of Transportation safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Expert knowledge of products used in agronomy operations and computer automation in agronomy equipment
· Perform mixing operations and oversee mixing and blending of fertilizer
· Strong knowledge of computer software program used for mixing and blending of fertilizer
· Coordinate delivery of fertilizer loads and dispatch fertilizer drivers
· Report inventories
· Oversee fertilizer bagging
· Monitor loader operations
· Assist in fertilizer plant building and equipment maintenance
· Develop plans and dispatching that help operations run smoothly
· Train new employees on computer software programing
Additional Duties
· Operate a forklift

Job Qualifications
· 5 years of work experience in Agronomy Operations, Facilities Maintenance, or related field preferred
· High School degree or equivalent
· Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
· Interpersonal skills and ability to direct
· Multitasking, problem solving and time-management skills
· Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations
· Must have knowledge of mechanical systems and tools required for general maintenance
· Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
· Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders and perform occasionally at significant heights, and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material
· Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
