The Electrical Designer will use AutoCAD and REVIT to design electrical systems, lighting layouts, and power systems for commercial spaces.General Duties:
- Perform basic electrical design calculations
- Layout and design electrical distribution systems
- Work on lighting design and lighting controls
- Research applicable building codes
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Site survey to determine and document existing conditions
- Provide construction administration services
Skills:- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
- Knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit
- Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- Ability to travel during normal working hours
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred but not required.
- 4 years of experience without a degree (or 2 years of experience with a degree) in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities
