Award winning Work Editorial LA is looking for a strong Assistant Editor to join the team. This in-house position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects and contribute significantly to the final product. 3 years experience in the post/commercials industry. Expertise in both Premiere and Avid. Must be confident with After Effects. Able to pick up a job from an editor and comfortable running a supervised client session. Key Responsibilities:

• Software Proficiency: Demonstrate good operational knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Avid and familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Davinci.
• File Management & Workflows: Manage media files effectively, understanding the fundamental differences in formats and codecs.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous reviews of edits before final handover, ensuring they are free from errors, glitches, or inconsistencies.
• Syncing Footage: Efficiently sync and organize raw footage for editing.
• Labeling and Logging: Accurately label and log footage for easy retrieval and reference. // Transferring rushes onto the server
• Sound editing skills
• Sound & Footage sourcing
• Strong understanding of VFX /color/sound/delivery pipeline.
• Prep EDLs, XMLs, AAFs, OMFs, plus reference vids for online.
• Mastered the Online // final delivery phases of the project; highly organized and with a laser eye on QC
• 2-3 years of industry experience in a similar role for an established post-house.
• Excellent organizational and file management skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical acumen.
• Excellent communication skills with both editor and production and ability to maintain positive client relationships.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Independently address fundamental technical problems and seek assistance for more complex issues.
