Literally Media’s beloved and well-known staple site Cheezburger is looking for a talented writer to join the Trending team whose beat is on viral internet trends and sensations (leaning towards comedy). This writer can predict when something is about to become viral online - like TikTok videos, new memes, Twitter threads, celebrity feuds, etc. They’re active on all major social media platforms and follow funny influential content creators. They approach their writing style in a professional newsy way, but can translate that into a fresh youthful voice. Each piece should be a minimum of 150-400 words. They will also be familiar with data analysis in order to adapt to the ebbs and flows of internet traffic trends. And is a quick learner who can pick up on all the individual voices of the Cheezburger brands Failblog, ICanHas, Animal Comedy, Cheezcake, Geek Universe, and Memebase. 

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
• Editorial experience in a content-related position
• Excellent research and data analysis skills
• Ability to excel in a continuously changing environment
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Excellent people skills to interact with a cross-functional international team
