Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor jobs in Illinois
Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in a diagnostic imaging department such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography or ultrasound. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree, certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality of patient care. Acts as a role model by setting a positive tone that directly impacts customer service and employee morale. Intercedes on behalf of the customer/employee to ensure a positive outcome. Performs all duties of a Radiology Tech Lead and Radiology Technologist.
What You Will Need- A High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience in the x-ray modality
- Orientation and educational portion as determined by college to be completed after official appointment to position
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
- ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology) certification with current registration
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
