Dean of Education manages administrative functions of the college of education. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Education leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Education requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Education manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Education typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado (ACANC) is hiring an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. We seek candidates with high standards of excellence, a professional demeanor, a warm rapport with students, clear communication with parents, and a can-do attitude to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, intuitive, discrete, and skilled in technology.
Essential Functions: Support the Dean of Faculty in daily operations and projects, coordinate substitute teachers, provide general teacher/staff support, maintain confidentiality, assist with data collection, offer technical support, provide training support, assist with scheduling and communications, occasionally provide discipline support, foster professional relationships, model moral character, participate in professional development, maintain a collegial relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred, commitment to school policies and mission, high moral character, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational and computer skills, ability to develop positive relationships, commitment to professionalism and confidentiality, eligibility to work in the United States, willingness to undergo a background check, willingness to perform additional duties as needed.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, traverse the classroom and school, sit at a desk or stand for prolonged periods, supervise outdoor activities.
