Database Marketing Analyst performs analysis of marketing databases to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of various marketing programs. Develops strategy for targeted marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction and list or lead generation. Being a Database Marketing Analyst runs various reports to track retention, identify new customers, and pinpoint opportunities to increase sales to current customers. Ensures that the database is updated and maintained in a timely fashion. Additionally, Database Marketing Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. JOB SUMMARY: The Data and Communications Coordinator ensures accurate data and consistent communication across all constituencies. In addition, this role will facilitate office operations by maintaining the budget and executing other necessary tasks including event support.
Key Responsibilities- Data:
- Responsible for database maintenance, and data integrity tasks.
- Create basic and complex queries used to export data/lists as needed.
- Maintain and improve donor relations by ensuring accurate and timely handling, recording, receipting, and acknowledgement of data.
- Create new constituent records and maintain constituent biographical information in Raiser's Edge. Ensure duplicates are not created when new records are added.
- Create detailed and customized reports to accommodate the needs of the Advancement team.
- Perform data imports of new graduates, parents, etc.
- Create and maintain Raiser's Edge dashboards to aid in tracking fund/campaign/appeal performance.
- Train and support Raiser's Edge end-users as needed to enable them to do the tasks needed in their respective areas.
- Maintain data entry standards and procedures.
- Communicate with and respond to staff questions regarding data issues and provide technical expertise as needed. Be able to effectively communicate how to use the database modules and any limitations that may exist.
- Stay up to date with established industry standards and identify areas of improvement that will be brought to the Director’s attention. It is expected that this position will have an active role in making recommendations for changes in policy, procedure, and adding new services/software that would be of benefit to Advancement and will help us better meet established goals.
- Donor Relations:
- Create email campaigns as needed for different projects.
- Develop and create departmental newsletters on a quarterly basis.
- Assist with creating alumni newsletters monthly.
- Event Coordination Support:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of on-campus and off-campus events, including donor receptions, fundraising events, and alumni gatherings.
- Support event logistics, including RSVP tracking, venue setup, and coordination with vendors.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in various administrative tasks necessary to the smooth running of the office.
- Maintain and track departmental budget.
- Church Leadership Program Support:
- Support Dr. Yancey (Alumni Pastor) in the implementation of his projects, responsibilities, and travel as necessary.
- Act as a liaison between the Advancement department and the churches and districts as necessary.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of speaker's bureau.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere.
