Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Director to lead our busy distribution center in Santa Teresa, NM and provide oversight for external 3PL. The WH Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving and storage to order fulfillment and shipping. The position takes a leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, while maintaining inventory accuracy and delighting customers by meeting expectations on-time, every time. A great deal of time will be spent on creating, improving, and enforcing Process Controls for the operation. In addition, the WH Director will manage WH budgets and Key Performance Indicators for the complete warehousing operation.
Specifics include but are not limited to:
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems for a variety of product categories including consumer goods & spare parts
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory to achieve Best-In-Class results
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs for add. headcount, equipment, and capacity
- Manage and optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization
- Identify, recommend and execute changes to total warehouse space – expansion and contraction – as required to support the business
Order Fulfillment:
- Manage the picking and packing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage shipping and transportation logistics
- Meet or exceed order fulfillment deadlines
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation, labeling, and any customer specific requirements
Warehouse Operations:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a growing warehouse team
- Develop and implement warehouse operating procedures and standard work instructions
- Manage the maintenance of all material handling equipment including fork trucks, RF guns, strech film carousels, dock levelers, pallet racks, lighting, scales, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations
- Manage maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and infrastructure
- Identify and implement ways to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity including automation and system enhancements
- Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for third party logistics (3PL) providers and manage aggregate cost of the 3PL services

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field and seven years’ experience preferred preferably in a consumer products distribution environment, with extensive exposure to design and layout of new distribution warehousing operations with hands-on experience with ERP, EDI, TMS, and WMS systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPM, CSCP, Green/Black Belt, and/or CPIM certifications a plus

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
