Being a Data Science Manager manages the design and implementation of big data solutions for the organization. Uses extensive knowledge and research into big data tools to guide data scientists' adoption and use of new and existing tools.     Job Description Summary: The position will be responsible for supporting the Global Internal Audit Team by partnering with audit leads to embed data analytics in the audit process from ideation to execution and will report directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit Data Science Solutions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

    • Designing, executing and delivering data analytics testing in a meaningful manner to assist audit assignment testing
    • Support of the internal audit plan and global audit team with data analysis across multiple business functions and time zones
    • Pro-actively developing and maintaining strategic partnerships within the Internal Audit team, the business, and respective support areas across PayPal
    • Project management and implementation of large enterprise initiatives for the Internal Audit team
    • Successfully handling large and challenging workloads on successive assignments
    • Demonstrating exemplary time managements skills and the ability to effectively multi-task to deliver multiple projects within time constraints

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of External Audit or Internal Audit experience within a large and high growth company that provides financial products and services, and proven experience in data analysis and project management.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    The successful candidate must possess:

    • SQL, Python, or Google BigQuery analytical programming skills
    • Curiosity and inquisitiveness: passionate for digging into data and uncovering insights
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to design data driven tests and recommend solutions to complex projects
    • Strong motivation and be a results-oriented self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can deliver successful results with minimal guidance
    • Excellent relationship and communication skills to build internal networks within the team and the wider company
    • Excellent time and project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
    • A passion for understanding the unique PayPal community, along with a passion for understanding the online payments business
    • Versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job
    • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
    • Strong documentation skills
    • Ability to travel when required

    HIGHLY DESIRED:

    • Financial Services experience
    • Experience using data analytics software such as Arbutus Analyzer or ACL
    • Experience in robotic process automation tools
