Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs.     Position Description:

    IDS is currently searching for an Air Force Management Administrator. Air Force Management Administrators must have experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) in one or more of the following areas; Education Management, Unit Deployment/Readiness Management, Enlisted (ERP) and Officer Performance Report (OPR) Management, Supplies Management, Space Allocation Management, Executive Support Services and/or Manpower and Personnel Management.

    Responsibilities for each area include, but are not limited to:

    Education Management

    • Plan, organize, administer and evaluate the organization’s training and professional development program for assigned personnel.
    • Support the Air Force training program ensuring personnel receive initial, recurring and annual training as required to satisfy mission needs
    • Assist functional organizations and the unit’s Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder to acquire cost effective and efficient training
    • Develop, maintain, and update the organization’s training budget and obligation estimates
    • Coordinate with functional organizations regarding non-governmental training courses prior to purchasing or contracting the training.
    • Disseminate training opportunities to target audience.
    • Support the professional and career development training program ensuring employee training history records are complete; accurate, confirm system input and output information is correct
    • Maintain and track Basic Developmental Education (BDE), Acquisition Program Development Plan (APDP) and Individual Development Plan (IDP).
    • Maintain and update training data contained in databases to track and coordinate efforts.
    • Coordinate and announce developmental opportunities to personnel
    • Monitor and ensure employees acquire all training necessary to fulfill requirements consistent with their professional developmental and career advancement goals

    Unit Deployment/Readiness Management

    • Support the unit deployment/readiness management program.
    • Prepare for deployment and redeployment
    • Monitor and track deploying personnel and equipment products.
    • Review deployment tasking planning documents.
    • Input, extract, and interpret data in automated information systems such as Status of Resources and Training Program (SORTS) and the AEF Reporting Tool (ART).
    • Analyze emergency action messages, and recommend solutions
    • Manage the organization’s Inspector General activities
    • Develop crisis action procedures in conjunction with other employed organizations
    • Maintaining a close relationship between operations, logistics, and support organizations to enhance support of the combat mission.
    • Analyze and recommend requirements for forward movement of forces to support organization.
    • Manage the Self Inspection Program (SIP).
    • Integrate redeployment planning actions with functional area representatives.

    Enlisted (EPR) and Officer Performance Report (OPR) Management

    • Maintain and update the organization’s military performance reports, feedbacks, and military promotion programs.
    • Provide weekly status briefings regarding the OPR/EPR program, including timeliness statistics
    • Develop semi-annual briefings regarding OPR/EPR policies, duty titles and change of reporting officials, directives and regulations.
    • Schedule/monitor EPR/OPR processing.
    • Maintain and update information contained in databases to track and coordinate efforts.

    Supplies Management

    • Collect and document requirements for accountable and non-accountable supplies and equipment.
    • Process requisitions.
    • Maintain stores of accountable and non-accountable supplies and equipment and conduct inventories.

    Space Allocation Management

    • Track organization space allocation requirements.
    • Develop, maintain, and update reports identifying organizational space utilization including personnel assignment.

    Executive Support Services

    • Provide Executive Support Services including preparing reports, papers and briefings and SMC communications policies and templates.
    • Prepare correspondence.
    • Maintain appointment calendars and conference room schedules.
    • Schedule meetings and conferences including those involving staff from outside the immediate office.
    • Answer telephones, forward messages, and provide responses to routine queries.
    • Act as Travel Clerk and perform Defense Travel System functions on behalf of traveler.
    • Assist in coordinating, consolidating, analyzing, distributing and monitoring action items, suspenses and responses to include supporting management of actions in TMT.
    • Support LR records management activities, retrieve products stored in Government information repositories, provide inputs and recommendations regarding administrative and office management processes and procedures.
    • Prepare agendas, reports and briefings for staff meetings.

    Manpower and Personnel Management

    • Coordinate all personnel management activities with associated management personnel.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to organizational personnel for completing manpower and personnel documentation.
    • Maintain the unit personnel management roster/unit manning document and related organizational rosters.
    • Maintain and update information contained within databases to track and coordinate efforts.
    • Assist in writing and maintaining office plans and procedures such as maintenance of an accurate organizational baseline, organizational charts, functional statements, mission descriptions and telephone directories.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • This position requires a minimum of 6 years’ experience with a minimum of 2 years of direct DoD Space experience in one or more of the specific areas listed above

    Education and Work Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business management or other related discipline is preferred but not required.

    Physical & Mental Qualifications:

    • Must be able to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods of time.
    • Must consistently work and type on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
    • Must be able to communicate accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
    • Must be able to lift/carry at least 15 lbs.
    • May be required to move about inside an office to access file cabinets, office supplies, etc.

    Security Clearance:

    • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

    Travel:

    • Some travel may be required.

    Hours:

    • Normal work schedule hours may vary, Monday through Friday. May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines or to fulfill travel obligations.

    Salary Range:

    • $70,000 - $90,000 per year
    • The estimated salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future. The disclosed salary range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. When determining an applicant’s compensation, various factors are taken into consideration including, but not limited to: geographic location, relevant prior work experience, relevant training, special skills/competencies, education, clearance, licenses/certifications, labor categories/contract rates and other business needs.

    IDS offers a robust benefits package including employer paid health, dental, vision, disability, AD&D and life insurance plans for eligible employees. IDS also offers a variety of elective plans to eligible employees including flexible spending accounts, voluntary life insurance and supplemental insurance plans. Benefits become effective the first of the month following the start date of employment unless starting on the 1st of the month, in which case benefits are effective immediately upon the eligible employee’s start date. IDS offers eligible employees eleven (11) paid holidays, generous PTO accruals starting at three (3) weeks per year to, as well as a 401(k) safe harbor contribution upon eligibility.
