    Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) is recruiting for a Director of Acquisition and Divestiture Data Management.
    Primary Location: New Brunswick, NJ

    The position is responsible for planning and driving the organizational data management strategy including data execution activities and governance across the portfolio of A&D deals with the goal of improving efficiency and reducing the risks and liability for data migration, preservation and archival.

    As the Acquisition and Divestiture Data Management Leader, the incumbent will lead the execution of data migration and archival tasks of the Data Management Program for all A&D deal activities. They will need t to partner with key functional and business teams to determine scope, identify and handle multi-functional interdependencies, define requirements, and coordinate the execution of data management activities. Leadership across the business, IT, legal, privacy and regulatory are primary stakeholders. The candidate will require a deep understanding of the J&J structure, strong execution and delivery skills, and a bias toward problem solving and resolution.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Data Management: Lead all aspects of the end-to-end strategy development and execution for A&D deals data lifecycle management, from identification, dispositioning and mapping to secure data disposal, archiving, ensuring data integrity, availability, and confidentiality. Develop a repeatable approach for the governance and execution of the data management lifecycle on A&D deals.
    • Resource Management: Lead the staffing approach for data management resources across the ADSL portfolio for acquisition and divestiture deals, ensuring that the team has the necessary expertise and capacity to handle data-related tasks effectively. Actively lead an overall IT Data Management plan including scope, resources, and schedule across all program phases.
    • Data Traceability: Develop and implement data traceability frameworks to support our A&D portfolio of deals in partnership with legal, privacy and regulatory to track data flows, transformations, and lineage.
    • Data Mapping and Classification: Partner with the end user Technology Services team to implement unstructured data migrations. Identify, classify, and document data assets, including PII, confidential business data, and regulatory data.
    • Legal Context and Compliance: Work with legal teams to understand and address the legal context of data assets involved in a deal and ensure compliance with deal terms, data privacy regulations and other applicable laws.
    • Exception Handling: Identify exceptions in data transfer and compliance, developing appropriate strategies and solutions to mitigate exceptions.
    • Data Migration: Plan and implement data migration strategies for structured applications to ensure data consistency and accuracy leading data mapping, documentations, verifications to buyers/sellers as part of deal execution.
    • Vendor Management: Supervise third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure data security and compliance during data disposition activities.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data assets, disposition activities, resource allocation, and compliance measures. Generate reports and updates for partners as needed. Provide awareness of program status to IT and business leadership; provide updates to partners as appropriate.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential data-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry standard processes and emerging technologies to continually enhance data traceability and management processes. Help standardize the tools, processes, playbook and methodologies supporting A&D. Implement lessons learned from deals and incorporate into our A&D Playbook all of the processes for future improvements. This role will lead the data management swimlane of activities and processes compiled in the A&D playbook.
    • Application Lifecycle: Partners with TS Application Services and service owners supporting the execution of application decommissioning and archival processes.
    • Data Security: Ensure data management activities are done in accordance with J&J security and access policies.
    • Innovation: Drive innovation within the organization, bringing to bear advanced technologies to optimize data processes and support the evolving needs of A&D initiatives.
    • Agile Organization: The ADSL team operates within an Agile framework where roles and responsibilities may dynamically shift to adapt to the unexpected nature of our portfolio. We embrace flexibility and agility to optimize our performance and respond effectively to evolving business needs. As such, while the main focus of this role is Data Management within Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D), candidates should be open to potentially taking on other A&D roles over time to support the overall success of our initiatives.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISM, CISSP) is a plus.
    • 10 years of enterprise or domain IT program, project, application and/or technology experience required.
    • Demonstrated ability as a leader with major technology development projects in a matrixed environment.
    Preferred:
    • Experience in IT and data management, particularly within the context of business integration programs.
    • Proficiency in data mapping and classification tools, data management software, and data lineage tracking.
    • Understanding of data traceability principles and techniques.
    • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with data extraction, data management and reporting with knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases. Experience with Archival, and Decommissioning a plus.
    • IT experience with business acquisitions or divestitures and integration activities preferred.
    • Experience implementing strategies in sophisticated global organizations.
    • Experience leading diverse project teams including internal resources and contractors is required.
    • Experience with Enterprise Systems, Supply Chain, R&D and Commercial systems preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain technological concepts to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
    • Experience leading multiple projects with demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources.
    • Exceptional communication and social skills to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams.
    • Organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Shown success in leading multiple projects with demanding deadlines and changing requirements.
    • Strong leadership skills including effective communication, emotional intelligence, influencing skills within a diverse environment (e.g. influence without authority), empower others, and handle conflicts.
    Other:
    • Travel 10-15% domestic, international.
    • Role will be based out of New Brunswick, NJ supporting a global A&D Service Line IT team. Supportive of flexible remote work arrangement.

    Expected Salary: $142,000 - $213,000
