Description
We are looking for a diligent and attentive Medical Data Entry Clerk to join our healthcare team in McMinnville, Tennessee. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient entry and updating of patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities- Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Conduct data quality checks and audits.
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing data.
- Organize and manage both paper and electronic files.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Familiarize with and utilize Microsoft Excel, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Customer Service, Data Entry, and Documentation skills.
- Utilize skills in Cerner Revenue Cycle, MEDITECH, and EPIC Rx.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience in billing functions
- Familiarity with claim administration processes
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven experience in data entry tasks
- Ability to create and maintain documentation
- Experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle
- Familiarity with MEDITECH software
- Knowledge of EPIC Rx system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting is preferred
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications.
