Customer Service Team Leader leads a customer service team that responds to phone, e-mail, or chat non-technical service requests from customers. Responds to and resolves escalated issues and/or unique or complex requests from customers. Being a Customer Service Team Leader monitors the daily workloads of team members and makes adjustments to ensure adequate coverage and that correct procedures are followed. Identifies system and workflow improvements to enhance the team's efficiency. Additionally, Customer Service Team Leader trains and provides support to less experienced team members. May assist manager or supervisor with scheduling. May be authorized to approve special adjustments or exceptions for a customer. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. As a customer service team leader, you will respond to customer inquiries, guide customers through the purchasing process, make product or service recommendations, and issues or technical concerns while leading and mentoring a small team.

    To be successful in this position, mechanical aptitude is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage key accounts
    • Act as the point of contact for clients
    • Organize regular client meetings to discuss their requirements
    • Resolve problems and handle complaints in a timely manner
    • Identify new potential customers
    • Stay up to date with new features and product launches
    • Lead, mentor and grow a small team
    • Monitor and report on sales performance analytics
    • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience

    Success Factors:

    • Leadership Experience – successful history leading a sales/customer service team of 5 to 20 people.
    • Must have 3-5 years proven sales team growth of 10-20%
    • Have the technical ability to help our customers find solutions to their projects. Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
    • Good at building long-term relationships with customers and members
    • Able to understand and communicate effectively with customers both verbally and written.
    • Travel 25-35%
    • Bachelor’s degree: Focus on Engineering, a plus
