Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Customer Segment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Segment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Segment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Summary:

    The Product Segment Sales Manager will play a critical role in growing the success of our Power Installation Product business by focusing on providing our customers with industry leading support and quality of product. The Product Segment Sales Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the overall business strategy, product sourcing, and promoting the product line internally and externally. They will also act as a technical resource for the sales team and leveraging relationships within and across the business enterprise to maximize value. Includes category and or commodity management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, sales management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 3 - 5 Years’ experience preferably in a distribution environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
    • Excellent inventory management skills.
    • Hands-on role requiring willingness and ability to be both a strategist and a tactician.

    Position Requirements:

    • Act as a subject matter expert in the field of residential and commercial energization projects for internal and external customers.
    • Develop, communicate, and execute growth strategies with primary suppliers and sales leadership to drive profitable growth within the business segment.
    • Work with sales, key suppliers, and project coordination to develop end to end processes to win and execute on specialty and design build projects.
    • Collaborate with sales and pricing teams to implement competitive and profitable day-to-day selling strategies.
    • Develop a keen understanding of the technical aspects of and state compliance policies for business segment.
    • Maintain a solid working knowledge of product trends and industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes.
    • Oversee daily purchasing requirements for assigned product lines. This includes demand analysis, order placement, and order point management.
    • Work closely with the Marketing team to identify item promotion potential and promotion structure.
