Customer Insights Analyst analyzes customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights. Assists in developing and conducting focus groups, surveys, competitor intelligence studies, and industry research to support product development, category/brand management and marketing or sales initiatives. Being a Customer Insights Analyst uses market research and statistical methodologies and tools to perform analysis. Performs data collection, input, and aggregation processes to develop and maintain research databases. Additionally, Customer Insights Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Customer Insights Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     THE OPPORTUNITY

    As the Analyst, Customer Insights and Analytics, you will be responsible for creating marketing lists in support of our CRM program by leveraging data from our rewards and customer data platforms. You will develop SQL/Python scripts to create custom lists of customers eligible for CRM campaigns based on criteria determined by the CRM, Insights & Analytics teams and ensure delivery of quality and timely lists to our end systems and/or external vendors as necessary.


    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Use a combination of SQL & Python to query and manipulate data in a relational or cloud-based data environment.
    • Create lists of customers by segment and randomized control groups per requirements laid out in campaign brief.
    • Implement robust processes to ensure lists are compliant with marketing & privacy and any other exclusions that are required.
    • Work with other analysts and data scientists on the team to ensure new data is available for campaign management with the desired quality and reliability.
    • Produce waterfall charts of counts for every campaign displaying the flow of audience.
    • Have a mindset of continuous improvement to guide team on best practices and making recommendations to drive performance and efficiency.
    • Assist the team with ad-hoc analyses as needed.


    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) with a quantitative background, such as Mathematics, Statistics, or any other mathematical discipline such as Engineering and Computer Science preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience working with campaign planning and analysis, preferably in a consumer retail environment.
    • Intermediate SQL skills and an understanding of databases to write custom queries.
    • Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Azure.
    • Ability to code in Python.

    PAY TRANSPARENCY

    A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $127,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
