Manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization. Being a CREDIT RISK MANAGER oversees the preparation of performance reports for management. May require a master's degree. Additionally, CREDIT RISK MANAGER typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The CREDIT RISK MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Role:
The Credit Risk Manager is responsible for performing and presenting credit risk analytic recommendations as well as designing, implementing, and monitoring credit strategies that drive the profitable growth of a credit cards portfolio. This position will leverage skills in credit risk, SAS/SQL programming, and complex data analytics in the performance and delivery of credit risk analytics. The candidate should be able to apply solid knowledge of credit strategy decision engines and regulatory compliance in the design, implementation, and monitoring of credit strategy. Must be able to constantly communicate complex topics to colleagues, management, and other stakeholders within the company.
