    Role:

    The Credit Risk Manager is responsible for performing and presenting credit risk analytic recommendations as well as designing, implementing, and monitoring credit strategies that drive the profitable growth of a credit cards portfolio. This position will leverage skills in credit risk, SAS/SQL programming, and complex data analytics in the performance and delivery of credit risk analytics. The candidate should be able to apply solid knowledge of credit strategy decision engines and regulatory compliance in the design, implementation, and monitoring of credit strategy. Must be able to constantly communicate complex topics to colleagues, management, and other stakeholders within the company.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Ability to code in SAS/SQL against data repositories to analyze performance of a credit card portfolio
    • Design, implement, and monitor account management strategies including payment programs and loss initiatives
    • Apply knowledge of credit card regulations in the development, implementation, and monitoring of credit strategies
    • Perform ad-hoc and recurrent credit risk analytical work
    • Communicate strategies to management and other stakeholders
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive the growth and profitability of the credit card portfolio
    • Manage credit lines effectively to optimize portfolio performance and minimize risk
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of portfolio growth initiatives
    • Provide line management oversight, ensuring the team meets its performance objectives and professional development goals


    What a Day is Like:

    • Evaluate new data and partner data sources for account management strategies using statistical analysis techniques such as CHAID, Decision Trees, optimization procedures, loss forecasting, enhanced process monitoring, data quality analyses, and incorporate score implementations for strategies
    • Analyze and propose changes to current strategies/initiatives
    • Work with Segment/Strategic Analytics/Decision Science staff to ensure project completion within agreed time frames and end-client satisfaction
    • Analyze, validate, track, and monitor delivered projects


    You’re perfect for this role if you have:

    • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Credit Card Industry experience
    • Solid understanding of credit card and/or consumer lending fields
    • Proficiency in common PC software such as Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in SAS and SQL programming
    • Ability to retrieve, stage, and analyze complex data housed in relational databases such as Redshift, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, or others
    • Proficiency in analytical or reporting tools such as SAS, R, Python, or Tableau
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
