Credit Clerk evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Loan Support Clerk
  • ROBINS FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION

  •  What You’ll Do: 

    • Process paid out titles and financing statements:
      • Utilize daily paid out loan reports to pull correct titles and financing statements
      • Make appropriate notations in data processing system and electronic title storage system
      • Release liens and mail or instruct mailing to the appropriate party within recommended timeframes and within Robins Financial policy/procedure
      • Process lien release requests on non-electronic titles
    • Monitor Collateral Protection Insurance Program (CPI):
      • Analyze collateral coverage reports on a weekly basis to determine coverage deficiencies, working with the corresponding department to make any necessary adjustments
      • Process force placed insurance premiums upon receipt, remitting appropriate payment to vendor, and indicating collateral insurance deficiencies on member accounts by modifying loan records, placing appropriate warning and tracking records
      • Work with employees, members and vendors to rectify collateral insurance deficiencies, ensuring a high level of customer service
      • Credit members’ loans with premium refunds upon receipt, revising corresponding loan record information, tracking records and warnings
      • Sort daily insurance mail forwarding information to the appropriate party as needed
      • Maintain and balance general ledger accounts, providing appropriate supporting documentation to the Accounting department
    • Monitor Credit Protector/Credit Insurance/ programs:
      • File claims, credit payments and conduct appropriate follow up on outstanding claims in a timely manner
      • Maintain and balance the programs, monitoring for potential coverage errors, complete monthly premium reports, and submit to vendor in a timely manner
    • Complete loan administrative duties including but not limited to: GAP and MRC servicing often working with outside  vendors, providing Equity Loan payoff requests, lien releases and total loss claims
      • Complete tasks with a high regard for accuracy
      • Assist in resolving member issues
    • Additional Functions:
      • Assist with other Loan Support functions as needed
      • Demonstrates teamwork by exhibiting the following: contributing to team effort, initiative, dependability, positive attitude, good attendance, tact, and diplomacy.
