Credit and Collections Supervisor jobs in New Jersey
Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for the activities and operations in the credit and collections department. Oversees the processing and verification of applications for credit and the solicitation for payment on overdue accounts. Being a Credit and Collections Supervisor investigates credit issues and suggests payment options to be approved. Ensures collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently. Additionally, Credit and Collections Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Credit and Collections Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Our privately held, rapidly growing Mount Laurel, NJ client is seeking a Credit and Collections Supervisor to join their team. Hybrid work environment.
The Credit & Collections Supervisor will be responsible for customer credit extension governance, collections management, and establishing and maintaining related policies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various internal teams to develop and monitor credit policy and control systems
- Perform creditworthiness analysis of both new and existing customers and establish appropriate credit limits
- Complete customer account holds and daily order releases review and approval
- Regularly perform key credit related metrics reporting
- Oversee third party collection agency and support collection efforts
- Act as main point of contact for collection matters escalations
- Evaluate existing processes and control effectiveness and implement new processes as needed
- Maintain records and documents
- Assist with month end close
- Support NetSuite system
Requirements:
- 5 years A/R experience, including some management experience
- Advanced education
- GAAP proficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a high volume environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
