Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Credit and Collections Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • The Director of Credit & Collections leads the overall Credit & Collections function for Coleman Oil.
    • Ensures policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines and collections are followed.
    • Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce past due receivables.
    • Oversees the negotiation and course of action taken on overdue accounts.
    • Manages a department of credit & collections associates and creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the team.
    • Responsible for minimizing Bad Debt and approving Bad Debt Write-offs within delegation.
    • Oversees the outside collection agency activity including agency selection.
    • Leads the Credit Team’s collaboration with Sales in a flexible, customer-centric approach to support company growth objectives.
    • Participates in Sales Meetings and regular meetings with Executive Leadership.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • 8 years Credit and Collections Management, Leadership experience preferred
    • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred

    • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent analytical skills

    COMPENSATION:

    Salary range - $80,000 TO $125,000 (DOE) with a Management by Objectives (MBO) Bonus

    Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
