Job Description
Currently seeking a highly motivated and focused individual to join our credit
and loan department team. The credit analyst reports directly to the Chief Credit Officer and will oversee entry level credit
analysts and other members of the loan support staff. As a member of the lending team, the Credit Analyst works closely
with the BBKY loan support staff, credit staff, lending staff and sales team. This position also involves communicating with
other banks and their lending and credit staff.
Principal Responsibilities:
Accurately enter financial statements into spreading software and excel spreadsheets.
Review credit and economic data used to evaluate and determine credit worthiness of commercial loan requests.
Collect and review multiple sources of financial data, such as commercial & personal tax returns, credit bureaus,
financial statements, compiled financials, credit memorandums, applications, etc.
Capture and review market, economic and industry information to determine trends and potential credit risk.
Partner with loan officers and credit analysts at participating banks to provide mutually valuable support and insight.
Prepare and deliver credit memos to appropriate committee for approval; follow up with key decision makers and
assist with closing and booking of all loans.
Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in designated markets to anticipate
changing customer needs.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of BBKY’s available services, lines of business, pricing structures and offer additional
services to existing and potential community bank clients, to assist them in meeting their goals and objectives.
Build relationships and increase company visibility through participation in company sponsored events; attend trade
shows, bank association events and other events, as necessary. Act as a company representative at community
banking events, where required.
Oversee and train entry level analysts and loan support staff.
Perform Other Job-related Duties, As Required.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar business field.
Professional presentation; is confident, assertive and displays a high level of self-esteem.
Possesses time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner.
Exceptional communication skills; communicates to all levels of management, both internally and externally.
