This rapidly growing, fast-paced Consumer Goods/eCommerce company based in Santa Fe Springs, CA. specializes in the production and distribution of highly-sought after apparel and consumer goods. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cost Accounting Director to join our team.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve cost efficiency throughout the organization.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for cost-related activities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the consumer goods or eCommerce industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with apparel or consumer goods industry is a plus, but not required.
