    Legal & Risk Management Purpose: To minimize risk and exposure by involvement in compliance, insurance, contractual, and legal issues through all levels of operation.

    Position Purpose: To ensure completion and compliance with review of legal documents such as purchase orders, contracts, requests for proposals, bids, and customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret legal agreements and service agreements and assist internal customers in decision making process.
    • Review company standard terms and conditions on a regular basis to verify they continue to meet company’s risk tolerance and needs.
    • Review and approve contracts, purchase orders, and business proposals for accuracy, legal terms, insurance requirements, and customer specific requirements; escalate issues to supervisor as necessary.
    • Communicate customer specific details/requirements with necessary departments and make necessary notes in company systems.
    • Negotiate basic items and terms issues with customers, request amendments and/or extensions as needed.
    • Create form contracts with standard department forms using information provided from sales.
    • Serve as the center point of contact for all company bids, delegate information to other departments and set deadlines as necessary.
    • Supply insurance certificates to company’s customers when necessary and responsible for gathering proper documentation for customers as needed.
    • Training, when appropriate, on contracts and legal agreements
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Education and Experience:

    • High school education or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred.
    • At least four (4) years of experience working in a fast paced, complex legal, contractual or other similar environment required


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce
    • Demonstrated ability to manage customer and sales expectations in a complex business environment.
    • Ability to read and understand the implications of complex legal documents
    • High degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must display a high level of attention to detail and organization
    • Must display a high level of integrity and initiative
    • Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks independently


    Work Conditions:

    • Work is typically performed in a cubicle workstation location inside a production facility with occasional exposure to non-toxic chemicals/odors and noise levels.
    • Hybrid-work eligible


    Physical Demands:

    • Light work involving sitting most of the time.
    • Perform work at a computer work station for extended periods.
    • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
