Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for someone with significant USAID contracting experience to lead the development of a fully functioning suite of contracts and compliance systems, tools, and processes, and collaborate with company leadership and project implementation teams to institutionalize and build contract management capacity within the organization. This position mitigates risk across the organization, oversees the corporate review and approval processes, and advises corporate and project implementation teams on matters related to contract compliance.
Purpose and Need
Environmental Incentives, LLC (EI) is one of USAID's fastest growing implementing partners, and we currently manage contracts based in Washington, DC and throughout the world. We are seeking a Contracts and Grants Director to advise, guide, and build the resources, processes, and systems necessary to ensure compliant delivery of projects and mitigate corporate risks. The Contracts and Grants Director will also oversee compliance support to project teams for contracts being implemented in Washington DC and beyond, primarily for USAID clients, but also for state and local governments and other non-USG clients. The ideal candidate for this position is an effective collaborator capable of ensuring both the needs of our project teams who are focused on delivering client work, and our corporate teams who are focused on internal operations of the company, are met and we are therefore able to achieve our purpose. The ideal candidate for this position is also a capable doer who will dive into understanding the details of project and overall corporate needs, and produce contracts-related tools, documents, and more to meet those needs. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
