SAIC is seeking a Configuration Analyst to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. Works under general direction on routine work. Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
Have an understanding and application of logistics principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Knowledge of industry practices and application to government practices.
Tasking:
- Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.
- Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors.
- Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more of experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.
- Knowledge of data management; submittal, approval, storage, retrieval, and transmittal.
- Knowledge of scheduling, coordination, and execution of Configuration Control Boards.
- Ability to execute functional and physical configuration audits.
- Knowledge of establishing and executing branch configuration management plans and policies, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense configuration management policies, procedures, instructions and standards. Utilizing industry configuration management best practices.
- Good technical writing skills and a basic knowledge of MIL-STD-3001 and S1000D International Specifications.
- Interim secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
