About the team
The SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Management) and SPM (Service Portfolio Management) teams are globally accountable for ensuring accuracy about business services and their underlying service assets. This includes CMDB Management, Software & Hardware Asset Management, and Service Portfolio Management. You will be part of a small team providing Service Asset Management globally for all Worldpay service assets.
What you will be doing
The CMDB Configuration Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and overall health of Worldpay’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB). They will design, implement, and maintain CMDB procedures to ensure it reflects all IT assets (hardware, software, services) and their relationships. This role is critical for supporting service asset management, ITSM processes, and financial management.
Design, develop, and implement CMDB policies and procedures.
Oversee the population and ongoing maintenance of the CMDB.
Manage CMDB data quality and ensure data governance.
Develop and implement CMDB access controls.
Create reports and dashboards to monitor CMDB health and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with IT teams and the business to ensure effective configuration management throughout the service lifecycle.
What you bring:
5 years of experience in CMDB administration and configuration management.
2 years of experience with ServiceNow.
Working knowledge of IT configuration management principles and CMDB best practices.
Understanding of how to use ITSM methodologies, eg: ITIL and Agile.
Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, data modeling, and governance principles.
Experience with CMDB tools and technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluent English verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
Added bonus if you have:
Extra experience with ServiceNow, specifically the asset and CMDB spaces.
Experience with databases and table structures.
ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification
