Compensation Supervisor supervises a team working on compensation plans and programs and related analysis. Oversees common compensation projects, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Supervisor ensures that compensation plans and programs are consistent with organizational policies and all applicable federal and state laws. Maintains salary structures and company compensation policies. Additionally, Compensation Supervisor is responsible for survey participation and compensation analysis. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compensation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Who You Are

    As the Head of Compensation, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing compensation strategies that align with the organization's overall objectives. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and a strategic mindset to ensure the company attracts, retains, and motivates top talent. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and HR to design and manage comprehensive compensation programs.

    Compensation Strategy

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Develop and implement a holistic compensation strategy that supports the organization's business objectives and talent acquisition goals.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market benchmarks, and best practices to ensure the company's compensation programs remain competitive.

    Total Rewards Management

    • Oversee the design and administration of total rewards programs, including base salary, variable pay, benefits, and recognition initiatives.
    • Collaborate with HR to ensure a seamless integration of compensation programs with broader talent management and employee engagement strategies.
    • Responsible for creating and implementing operational compensation policies, conducting market analysis, and providing strategic compensation support to various companies.

    Compensation Analysis And Benchmarking

    • Conduct regular market analyses to benchmark the organization's compensation packages against industry standards and competitors.
    • Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions on salary structures, pay scales, and bonus programs.
    • Research and analyze geographic pay data, design performance management tools, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of performance management, compensation strategy, and pay-for-performance initiatives.

    Executive Compensation

    • Develop and manage executive compensation programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and shareholder interests.
    • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and governance principles related to executive compensation.

    Equity Programs

    • Administer and enhance equity-based compensation programs, such as stock options, restricted stock units, and performance shares.
    • Monitor equity plan compliance and communicate effectively with participants.

    Communication And Education

    • Design and implement communication strategies to educate employees about the organization's compensation philosophy, programs, and opportunities.
    • Provide training to HR professionals, managers, and executives on compensation-related matters.

    Policy Development And Compliance

    • Develop, update, and enforce compensation policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational values.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory changes affecting compensation.
    • Responsible for creating and implementing operational compensation policies, conducting market analysis, and providing strategic compensation support to various companies.

    Budget Management

    • Partner with finance and leadership to develop and manage the compensation budget.
    • Provide financial analysis and reporting on compensation-related expenses.

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field required, relevant Master’s degree or certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in compensation management, including roles of increasing responsibility.
    • Extensive knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, and best practices.
    • Demonstrated expertise in compensation management, with a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing compensation strategies.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in compensation data analysis tools.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Strategic thinking and the ability to align compensation programs with broader business goals.

The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations. The salary range for this position is $275,000 - $350,000. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
