Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. What will you be doing?
Managing day-to-day operations of the community day services program
Assuring compliance with all applicable DHS, DPH, CARF, local rules and standards, and agency policies and procedures
Supervising assigned employees and volunteers
Providing staff and clients with a team-oriented, positive, professional, and safe environment to learn and work
Functioning as the QIDP for your assigned caseload
Developing and implementing programs to maximize clients’ work and daily living skills, health, promotion, and inclusion in the community
What will you bring to the table?
A bachelor’s degree in a human services field (required)
A master’s degree in a humans services field (preferred)
Ability to meet qualifications as a QIDP
Ability to attend and pass DHS-mandated QIDP training within six months of hire
Two years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities required
Supervisory experience required
