Position Summary:

The Communications Representative is responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies to promote the company's mission, enhance its brand, and engage both internal and external audiences. This role requires excellent writing and editing skills, a strong understanding of various communication channels, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proactive problem solver, and a collaborative team player.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Media Relations:

   • Establish and maintain relationships with media contacts.
   • Draft and distribute press releases and other media materials.
   • Coordinate media inquiries and interview requests.

2. Social Media Management:

   • Manage the company's social media accounts, creating engaging content and monitoring engagement.
   • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
   • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies as needed.

3. Internal Communications:

   • Develop and distribute internal communications to ensure employees are informed about company news, events, and updates.
   • Assist in the planning and execution of internal events and meetings.

4. Crisis Communication:

   • Assist in the development and implementation of crisis communication plans.
   • Provide timely and effective communication support during crisis situations.

5. Project Management:

   • Coordinate communication projects from conception to completion.
   • Work with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
   • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with media relations and crisis communication is a plus.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices is an advantage.
