Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a part time position. Employees must be available to work a schedule as written by supervisor to meet credit union operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Successfully complete consumer loans, including web and credit card applications. Enter accurate and reliable data into the appropriate database or loan system.
Accurately determine and deliver values for various types of collateral. Calculate how much of an applicant's debt is secured or unsecured.
Present application and supporting information to loan underwriter for decision. Send adverse action or counteroffer notice as needed.
Prepare and deliver all loan/title packets electronically or face to face with members as needed.
Ensure all documents contain proper signatures, dates and any other relevant data.
Make follow-up calls for all new CRIF loans. Explain the loan if needed and answer any member questions. Explain benefits and additional products Credit Union offers.
Track and keep log of all upcoming lease terminations, make calls as needed.
Contact applicants via mail, email or phone to gather employment or income information/documents, background information, or any additional information needed.
Provide daily/monthly servicing to loans which may include starting/changing payroll deductions for payments, mailing member payment coupons, and add/refund collateral insurance premiums to loans.
Book and fund any direct/indirect loans and leases, as necessary.
Use clear and simple language to communicate information and decisions to members in ways they can understand. Assist with any questions or concerns the member has about the loan, loan process or status of the loan. Explain lending decisions, recommendations and applicable products/services in an accurately and a timely manner.
Process payments including teller payments, automatic payments, transfer balances, inquiry and general ledger updates.
Maintain proper filing systems to keep and ensure all documents are filed correctly and according to policy.
