Commercial Credit Analyst jobs in Ohio
Commercial Credit Analyst collects, reviews, and analyzes data to prepare a detailed credit analysis that evaluates the terms and creditworthiness of commercial loan applications. Uses multiple sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis, to assign risk ratings to loans and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Being a Commercial Credit Analyst calculates debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to evaluate an applicant's ability to repay the loan. Prepares credit memos in a standardized format that includes key ratios, supporting information, an executive summary, and objective recommendations. Additionally, Commercial Credit Analyst presents credit reports to loan officers and loan committees. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Credit Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Spread, review, and analyze financial statements, credit reports, collateral evaluations, and
presentations for recommendation.- Receive direction from Credit Manager as to reviewing new loan deal packages.
- Evaluate the risk associated with extending credit to individuals or businesses based on factors
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures when evaluating credit
- Monitor the performance of existing credits, evaluate financial performance and covenant
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, a related field, or equivalent related
- Previous experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or risk management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, lease agreements, and other
- Knowledge of financial markets, accounting principles, and credit risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in credit risk management
- Conversant with intermediate level accounting principals (cash/accrual basis, cost, and contractor),
- Knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and
