Vice President for Enrollment Management

    The Vice President for Enrollment Management provides overall leadership and strategic direction to admissions, financial aid, and Student Transition and Registration Team (START). Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management will serve as the College’s strategic and policy leader on matters related to student recruitment, admissions, retention, and enrollment. Serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, particularly representing the needs required to sustain or grow enrollment. The Vice President will lead in a transparent and open manner, and work closely and collaboratively with other areas of the college including academic affairs, administration and finance, athletics, college relations, information technology services, student affairs, CSC Foundation and Alumni to advance enrollment growth and mission of the College.
    Incumbent will take a systematic and data-driven approach to anticipating the changing higher education landscape, demographic shifts, and student needs.

    Examples of Work Performed
    Create and sustain a vision and strategic plan for enrollment management that is appropriate to Chadron State College and aligned with its overarching strategic plan and priorities.
    Provide stability, cohesion and leadership to ensure efficient operations of the Office of Admission, Financial Aid, and Student Transition and Registration Team.
    Develop and execute the institutions strategic enrollment plan that creates a cohesive process from prospect to graduation.
    Cultivate strong collaborative relationships across the institution to ensure that admission, enrollment, and student services are well integrated with the work of academic departments and other key institutional partners, including College Relations, Student Affairs, Information Technology Services, and academic support units reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs
    Integrate a deep commitment to inclusive excellence into every aspect of the unit’s work.
    Oversee scholarship awarding process, drive strategy, and provide guidance for evaluation, analysis, and yield; working in collaboration with financial aid, athletics, and academic affairs to meet recruitment goals.
    Build enrollment and financial aid strategies that consider access, affordability, debt, and support current and prospective students.
    Demonstrate ability to build teams, work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external partners and constituents and lead implementation of key initiatives.
    Provide vision, leadership, and responsibility for to meet and/or exceed their enrollment goals.
    Lead and supervise with an emphasis on team building and goal planning.

    Required Qualifications
    Master’s degree
    Ten years of increasing responsibility within admissions and enrollment management areas.
    Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets

    Preferred Qualifications
    Doctoral degree
    Experience in evaluating and improving the practices of the student recruitment to graduation processes.
    Familiarity with federal, state, NCAA, and other professional organizational compliance

    The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.
