Collateral Appraiser conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Collateral Appraiser performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Collateral Appraiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsibilities of the Camera Car Driver and Field Investigator

    • Assist with the recovery of the collateral and assets for our clients.
    • Work accounts, investigate, and make contact with the office when the vehicle is found.
    • Use License Plate Recognition equipment to scan license plates
    • Conduct heavy surveillance
    • Work closely with our team of recovery agents to locate and secure client’s collateral.

    *Requirements of the Camera Car Driver and Field Investigator*

    • High school diploma or a G.E.D.
    • Must be at least 25 years of age
    • Proven ability and experience working in an outside environment without direct supervision, yet able to follow directions from remote management
    • Ability to act in a discreet manner
    • Must have clean driver's license
    • Familiarity and ability to use a laptop is a MUST
    • Able to read, write and speak English with reasonable capability to be able to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors
    • Dependable
    • Experience in skip tracing, field locating, private investigations or auto repossessions is strongly preferred
    • Map skills a must
    • Preferably someone who knows the Greater Portland and outskirts well.
