Galen College of Nursing seeks Adjunct (Part-Time) Nursing faculty responsible for facilitating student learning and development, employing assessment and evaluation techniques, contributing to curriculum development and evaluation, evaluating student learning and program outcomes, and adhering to state and federal regulations as well as accreditation standards. Duties include creating conducive learning environments, employing diverse teaching strategies, utilizing technology to support learning, offering resources to address individual learning needs, fostering student professional development, serving as a faculty advisor, modeling professional nursing behavior, analyzing assessment data, ensuring curriculum alignment with professional standards, participating in curriculum reviews, attending college functions, engaging in governance activities, holding office hours, and maintaining an unencumbered nursing license in the state. Physical demands may vary depending on clinical instruction involvement, potentially involving exposure to hazards typical in nursing care, while mental demands include activities like planning, evaluating, and decision-making. The position may require occasional lifting and carrying in the classroom setting and more strenuous physical activity in clinical environments, as well as flexibility regarding hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel to clinical sites.
