POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager - Operations Technology (“OT Manager”) will have the knowledge and experience to lead by example in technologies relating to processes and operations, while assisting in staff and technology development strategy for all Mission and Silver Bell Mines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement strategy for operations technology infrastructure.
- Lead the site O.T. team members on a strategic and technical level, including participating in troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues at and between all Arizona sites.
- Participate in the creation of professional reports, instructional documentation, managing department projects, and developing operations technology standards/procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other technology departments and groups in vision, direction, and joint projects.
- Design, develop and implement analytics, event escalation notifications, reports and dashboards that pull data from business technologies.
- Identify, define, and communicate requirements for technology-based solutions
- Identify mining process technology gaps and opportunities.
- Develop and implement technology related procedures, user guides, standards of performance and best practices.
- Maintain project data in project management system to ensure accurate reporting
- Work with Business Technology Management and Finance to ensure that IT teams are correctly aligned to specific businesses processes and costs.
- Work with the Operations and Finance Teams to ensure that Technology costs are reflected accurately in profitability reports.
- Assist in evaluation and integration of 3rd party applications/technologies.
- Evaluate the requirements of the mining process and recommend new equipment.
- Work with 3rd party application development teams, architects, and engineers to implement business technology improvements as it relates to the processes.
- Review and update standard operating procedures and job task instructions.
- Recommend and assist in the development of action plans to continuously improve the fleet management system and mining technologies.
- Obtaining agreement on business analysis deliverables and ensuring that they meet all the requirements of the business.
- Reviewing test scripts for both system integration and user acceptance of new technology solutions.
- Lead and manage a team of Operational Technology Engineers.
- Assist in operations departmental audits and continuously work toward process improvement.
- Assist operations and business technology management in strategy, direction, and interdepartmental initiatives to meet company goals.
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business need.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of technical processes and how they can address the process business needs
- Experience working with multi-functional teams in a multi-national organization
- Highly Motivated, Proactive Self-starter, with a passion for technology solutions in the process environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced production focused environment
- Ability to identify opportunities in new technologies, trends, and changes in the information management and research field
- Excellent communication skills (the ability to listen to, explain to and influence Stakeholders) and the ability to partner with critical business / infrastructure and ability to clearly formulate positions on issues and articulate solutions
- Able to perform analytical assessment of datasets and information flows across an extensive range of process business types and systems
- Methodical with an analytical approach, paying close attention to detail

- Knowledge of OSIsoft Pi Asset Framework, Analytics and Pi Vision.
- Knowledge of Modular Mining Dispatch 6 or similar Fleet Management System.
- Knowledge of wireless pit networks.
- Knowledge of predictive analytic software.
- Knowledge of Rockwell DCS and Historians.
- Knowledge of the current mining industry technologies and ability to learn and implement new technologies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in focus areas or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in relevant technologies.
